I am considering buying a new 07 Pontiac G6. I would prefer a Camry or Accord but the G6 is the right price for my budget. Any opinions of the G6? Personal experiences?
Answer:I have a 06 Pontiac G6, I brought 9 months ago. It runs well, is good on gas and comfortable to drive in. I love it!
In other words, is the insurance more expensive than just a Pontiac G6?
Answer:I wouldn't be too sure about that. Don't make any assumptions until you've actually checked it out. I bought a Grand Am SE a few years ago and one of the factors that played into me getting the SE as opposed to the GT was that I thought I'd have to pay higher insurance for the GT. I don't believe that was accurate now and I wish I would've done more homework on that. Instead of worrying about the letters behind the car's model name I would be worrying about your (years of) driving experience, your driving record and your age. Those will be the primary factors in your car insurance rate.
I recently bought a '06 Pontiac G6 with the remote start option. The car did not come with a user's manual and I forgot to ask how to use the remote start button. I have tried pushing the lock button and then pushing and holding the start button. My info center does not have the option to turn on or off the remote start, or if it does, I cannot seem to find it. The fob works fine--the lock and unlock buttons anyway. I was just wondering if there was an easy way to fix the problem.
Answer:i am a gm technician if you have the factory remote start option then to use the remote start all you have to do is press the lock button on the fob then press the and hold for 3 seconds the start button (it is the button that is just above the lock and unlock buttons at the very top)
I have a basic 2005 Pontiac G6. The original owner didn't have the automatic starter installed. However, the automatic start button is on my key chain. I really would like to have it installed, but I know nothing about cars and how much it would cost. Anyone with some insight?
Answer:I know you can buy car starters installed from about $300. And they usually sell just the module for $200-$250...so using basic math I would say that you'll be looking at anything from $50 - $100 to get it installed if you already have the module. You should call around to a few places that advertise car starters and get real quotes though.
I'm about to change my oil this weekend by myself and I have no clue how many quarts of oil to use. I also need to know if I can change my oil using the regular jack to jack up the front end. I have a 2006 Pontiac G6, 4 door, V6. Hope this helps and if you could cite an answer that would be better. Thanks!
Answer:In the owners manual under specs and capacities, it will clearly state what viscosity to use and how much. Yes you can use the regular jack to lift the front end. That's what I do. I'm a fat dude & though it's a little tight under the car, it can be done.
I want to put nice exhaust that fits on G6 and I wonder is it good or bad to put in on Automatic shift pontiac G6? How much would exhaust cost?
Answer:I personally say its ok, I just put flo masters on my automatic grand prix.It adds a little more horse power and sounds great too. At Midas they have a variety of tips to choose from. I suggeset the 2 and 1/4 inch pipe , dual exaust average 600$.
How do I install XM radio in my Pontiac G6 2006. It says factory installed. however i installed the xm radio as I installed it on my van previously, and i get major static, and interference. I have no antenna in the car. Its a built in antenna, so I am so confused.
Answer:the G6 has xm ready on the FACTORY RADIO (all u had to do was call up xm and activate it) but yeah u got ur own, built-in antenna ? built into ur radio already?, or the car? the car has a built-in antenna and is still recieving, which ur xm is still recieving its signal and they are 2 signals one pos. yours, the other neg. G6 signal ................................. OR dis-connecting the xm w/out contacting xm could cancel the subscription or suspend it shortly ..i had xm on my alpine system 4 a year, they canceled, o.k. the next year i put that system in another volvo and it came on ON. W/OUT A BILL! a few pros say i might b lost in the system, unfortunatly u can get lost out of the system also.
I just bought a 2005 Pontiac G6 and it has a spot to put a cd in and a button that makes the display say "load single cd" but it wont accept any cd I try to put in it. Does the cd player come standard on a G6?
Answer:Insert a CD partway into the slot, label side up. The player will pull it in and the CD should begin playing. If you want to insert a CD with the ignition off, first press the eject button or the DISP knob. If that doesn't work you should take your veh to a dlrship. The CD player did come standard with the veh.
I have a 2008 Pontiac G6 V6. I want to add a remote start because of the cold New York winters and think it might come in handy. I know I can go to Best Buy and purchase an aftermarket system, but i prefer to stick with GM. Can I purchase a factory remote start for my car and have it installed so it is the same if purchasing the G6 with the remote start from the factory or do I have to install aftermarket? Thanks.
Answer:I believe you can get a dealer installed kit. It might still be aftermarket but it would be covered on a gm warranty of some kind because the dealer installed it. Either way you'll have to speak to your dealer to get more information on prices and warranty details.
I'm thinking about buying a Pontiac G6 sedan, but what is the difference (in BODY) between the 2008 g6 and 2007 g6? Anyone know?
Answer:There is not any difference. You have a few color options that changed and some package changes.
